Malawi’s Under 20 national team on Friday progressed to the next round of the Africa Youth Championship after beating Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 3-1 on aggregate at their backyard.

But the Junior Flames went on to beat DRC 2-0 with all the goals scored in the first half through Chawanangwa Kaonga and Isaac Kaliati.

The Flames under 20 will now await the winner of the Mozambique versus Zambia match in the third round.
