Uganda want to play Malawi in August
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is courting Malawi to play a friendly match on August 15 in Blantyre as Uganda prepare for their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Zambia due in Lusaka early September.
Uganda coach Bobby Williamson and the technical committee are preparing the squad for the friendly.
"The federation felt it was important to organise a high profile international friendly for the Cranes as they prepare for the important clash against Zambia in the Afcon 2013 qualifiers and everything has been confirmed. Coach Bobby Willimanson will be meeting with the technical committee to name a squad to play the match," Cranes Media officer Fred Katende told SuperSport.com
Malawi are meeting Ghana in the next round of the 2013 Africa Cup and they will play Ghana away in September.
